Youth has its fling at theatre workshops

Youth Theatre Ireland delivers year-round programmes of drama workshops and performance opportunities

The Kerry Local Creative Youth Partnership and the Arts Office at Kerry County Council, in association with Youth Theatre Ireland, are offering free drama workshop training to individuals over 18 years of age who have an interest in working with young people within a creative context.

Performing arts graduates, theatre artists, former youth theatre members, youth workers, teachers, amateur drama members, stage school operators or volunteers are all welcome to join the training.

A three-hour evening workshop will be led by expert facilitators from Youth Theatre Ireland at 4.30pm on Thursday, June 9. It is free and available for anyone interested in upskilling their facilitation practice.

Youth Theatre Ireland is the national development organisation for youth theatre. Its mission is to support the social, personal and artistic development of young people through youth theatre. It supports a network of youth theatres that deliver year-round programmes of drama workshops and performance opportunities to young people.
