THE women of Kerry certainly know how to turn on the style and there was a real wow factor on Ladies Day at Killarney Races this Thursday.

A kaleidoscope of colours lit up the racecourse and there were some real head-turning displays and magnificent hats and headpieces on show.
Judges Mairead Ronan and John Nolan – RTÉ’s Dancing with the Stars winners – had a tough task selecting the winner of the Queen of Fashion, whittling it down to 10 finalists before eventually making their final selection.
The weather played its part and there was a wonderful atmosphere all afternoon as punters sipped champagne, enjoyed an occasional flutter on the horses and savoured the magic of Killarney’s July festival racing, one of Kerry’s sporting and social highlights of the year at the most scenic racecourse in the entire country.
Photographer Konrad Paprocki was out and about at the track and he captured hundreds of images of the stylish racegoers, more of which will appear on KillarneyToday.com tomorrow.
