Charities and community organisations will benefit from the generosity of the public who are expected turn out in force for Killarney Rotary Club’s annual wine and at night which is always a big event on the local social calendar.
It will take place in the Great Southern Killarney on Wednesday next, November 29 the Great Southern Killarney, commencing at 7.15pm.
Several quality artists will be showcasing their work which will be on sale on the night and arts and crafts will also be available with some great Christmas shopping ideas. 30 per cent of any sale of artwork goes to the fundraiser and the remaining 70 per cent goes to the artist.
This year’s beneficiaries will be Anabla, Coolick, Faha, Knockanes, Tiernaboul and Loreto national schools, Gaelscoil Faithleann, the Killarney Cardiac Response, Castleisland Day Care Centre, Kerry Stars Special Olympics Club, Killarney Cougars Basketball Club and the Irish Pilgrimage Trust which brings children and young people with special needs on a week-long pilgrimage holiday to Lourdes every Easter.

An auction will be held for various paintings from exhibiting artists on the night who have donated their pieces.
President of Killarney Rotary Club, Barry Murphy, said: “Hopefully this year will be another huge success and all the beneficiaries will benefit. This event supports a lot of local groups to carry out projects they couldn’t otherwise proceed with”.
Now in its 20th year, the wine and art night will feature wine, craft beer and cheese tasting on the night and the event is sponsored this year by Killarney Credit Union, Daly’s SuperValu and Killarney Brewing and Distilling Company.
