POWER cuts have hit close on 2,000 homes around Kerry this morning with dozens of people in the Faha area among those affected.
Strong winds have caused problems in several areas and power has also been lost in areas around Kenmare, Caherciveen, Waterville and Tralee.
ESB Networks expects electricity to be restored in most areas by lunchtime.
A status yellow wind warning is in place for Kerry until 2.00pm with very strong winds forecast.
