
The white flag is about to be raised and Killarney Racecourse is set to host the first of three summer horseracing festivals from Sunday, May 14 to Tuesday, May 16.
Killarney Racecourse Ambassador, Bryan Cooper will be on hand to help steer punters on the right path and live music, family fun and food and beverage offerings will also complement the best of summer racing at the popular track for the duration of Mayfest.
There are a number of tickets and packages to choose from and whether it is close to the action general admission tickets or silver service fine dining and a table for the day, there is something for everyone at Killarney Races.
Adult admission tickets will give access to all you need for a great day at the races, including the viewing stands, public bars and restaurants, the bookies’ ring and parade ring as well as access to live entertainment during and after racing all for just €20.
OAPs and students enjoy a reduced rate admission of €15 per person with appropriate ID and, furthermore, all children under the age of 14 are free of charge to attend every race day at Killarney Races when accompanied by an adult.
Ideal for groups of friends and social clubs the punters’ package looks like a winner, offering the key ingredients for a good start to any race day – admission, race card, a drink and a bet. The package will get patrons suited and booted for a proper day out with all the gang at Killarney Races.

Those with a more discerning palate might opt for the Panoramic Restaurant package which includes four-course dining, a reserved table for the day, table service for food, beverages and betting as well as a private balcony with stunning views overlooking the entire racecourse.
Chairman Billy O’Sullivan said Killarney Races is a boutique festival that encompasses a wonderful mix of summer horse racing, blended with live entertainment on the lawn and indoors, a wide variety of delicious food and beverage offerings, family fun and fashion.

The Sunday will be an all-jump racing card and the feature race is the exciting Tote Killarney National. The first race will go to post at 1.55pm and gates will be open from 12 noon.
Monday will be an evening meeting, all jump racing again with a start time of 4.55pm and gates open from 3.00pm. The feature race, The An Riocht Chase, looks set to attract plenty of entries from a number of the country’s top stables.
Tuesday will close MayFest in style on the flat with an action-packed card featuring race The Irish Stallion Farms EBF Fillies Race. The first race goes to post at 5.00pm and gates open from 3.00pm.
Live music will be provided by Tom Cat’s and Resolute in the lively Jim Culloty Bar. On Sunday there will be children’s entertainment also with the team from The Art House providing painting and an exciting bubble machine as well as face painting to ensure plenty of fun between races during Mayfest for all junior racegoers.
Don’t forget kids under 14 are admitted free every day at Killarney Races making it a cost-effective family day out for all the gang!
