THE broadcaster everybody loved will be laid to rest next Wednesday in Aghadoe, Killarney, overlooking the majestic lakes he so often proudly referenced during his match day commentaries.
Weeshie Fogarty will repose at O’Shea’s Funeral Home, Killarney from 4.00pm to 6.30pm on Tuesday with removal afterwards to St Mary’s Cathedral.
Requiem Mass will be at 10.30am on Wednesday with burial afterwards in Aghadoe Lawn Cemetery.
His family has asked for donations, in lieu of flowers, if desired, to be made to palliative care.
Weeshie, who passed away this Sunday, is survived by his wife, Joan, children Denise, Carolann and Kieran, son-in-law Glenn, granddaughters Lucy and Eva, sister Sheila, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces and many other relatives and friends.
