IT wasn’t the last supper but it could certainly be described as the exciting final countdown as two fabulous young couples, who will both get married this Saturday, met up by chance in a busy Killarney restaurant last night.
Bride-to-be Elaine Rosney and her soon to be husband, Liam Austin, were dining with friends in the restaurant of her family’s Killeen House Hotel when another bride-to-be, Linda Gordon, and her intended, Niall Kelleher, arrived through the door of Rozzer’s Restaurant with a party of friends.
The chance meeting provided for a novel photo opportunity with both couples eagerly looking forward to the biggest day of their lives this Saturday.
And anytime they see each other years from now, they will always remember that they were married on the same day.
Elaine, from Fossa, and Liam, from Killarney, will be wed in a ceremony at the Muckross Park Hotel where guests will join them for a lavish reception in the five-star establishment adjacent to Killarney National Park.
Linda, from Artigallivan, and Niall, from Rathmore, will be wed in St Mary’s Cathedral and they will later be joined by guests for a very special reception and party in the stylish Great Southern Hotel.
There are some reports of another wedding taking place this Saturday, in St George’s Chapel in Windsor, but that will certainly be overshadowed by two fabulous Killarney celebrations for two beautiful brides and their two dapper grooms.
