FOR the second week in a row an open day planned by Killarney Rugby Club has become a victim of the weather.
After being postponed due to a torrential downpour last week, the event was rescheduled for this Saturday but club officials have now cancelled the open day altogether following an inspection of its grounds in Aghadoe.
“Despite our best efforts, the weather has been against us all week with heavy rainfall and due to ground conditions underfoot, it has been deemed unplayable and unsuitable to set up on,” a statement from the club confirmed.
Reports elsewhere that the event is going ahead, as planned, this afternoon are incorrect.
Club officials have apologised to people who made arrangements around the event for any inconvenience.
