Water warriors take a dip on Christmas Day

It’s the season to be… taking in dip in icy waters,

And they did so in their dozens at Dundag in Killarney National Park on Christmas Day.

In the process, the brave water warriors raised funds for Aware which provides support and information for people who experience depression and their loved ones.

There was a huge selection of Christmas outfits on show – one man even splashed out in a festive suit – and the atmosphere was quite electric.

This was the 13th year of the Dundag Christmas Day Dip organised by Niki and Dave McCarthy who led by example and took the plunge and, in fact, it was Dave that was clad in that spectacular suit and tie.
