THIS was the shocking sight that awaited members of the Gardai Traffic Corps who were called to the scene of a road traffic accident in recent days.
The single vehicle incident, not far from a built-up area, resulted in the vehicle involved ending up on its side after careering off the road, down an embankment and into a ditch.
The driver was arrested at scene for drug driving and dangerous driving.
Gardai posted this snapshot on social media to warn members of the public of the dangers on the road and to highlight their simple message which they constantly repeat to drivers – Arrive Alive.
