Two new deaths and 66 cases nationwide

TWELVE days have now passed since a new case of Covid-19 was reported in Kerry.

Today was another good news day for the county when Department of Health officials confirmed that the number of people infected with the virus in the county remains at 308.

Nationally, there have been two new deaths and 66 new cases confirmed.

That brings the total number of coronavirus related fatalities to 1,652 while 24,990 have been infected with the virus.

57 per cent of cases are female and the median age of confirmed cases is 48 years

3,283 cases (13%) have been hospitalised and 408 patients were treated in intensive care units.

7,963 of cases are associated with healthcare workers.
