Two men have been arrested in connection with the seizure of a significant quantity of controlled drugs in Killarney on Sunday afternoon.
An estimated €7,000 worth of cocaine and cannabis herb was detected during the course of targeted operation in the Ballycasheen area shortly after 3 o’clock.
The men, both aged in their 30s, were arrested and, at 9 o’clock on Sunday night, they were still being detained at Killarney Garda Station.
KillarneyToday.com understands that one of the men is very prominent and active on the local drugs scene.
The operation involved officers from the drugs unit in Killarney.
