THE number of clients presenting with cocaine addiction at the Talbot Grove Treatment Centre in Castleisland in the past year has climbed significantly, it has been confirmed.
In keeping with an upward spiral of recent years, a further five per cent increase was recorded in 2018, according to the centre’s annual report.
It also confirmed an increase in younger clients with a 30 per cent hike in referrals aged between 24 and 29 in the past 12 months.
The success of the addiction treatment centre is evidenced by treatment completion rates with 94 per cent of clients going on to attend continuing care programmes, which provide essential ongoing support to clients in recovery.
The specialist Kerry addiction treatment centre has unveiled a new name and identity in tandem with the release of its annual report.
The Castleisland facility, which offers residential, continuing care and concerned persons’ programmes, will now be known as The Grove, with a new logo incorporating a birch leaf and symbolising new beginnings.
