WILLKOMMEN will replace the traditional Céad Míle Fáilte in the festival dome at this year’s Rose of Tralee when Oktoberfest Tralee, a wunderbar new event, is held on Saturday, August 18.
For one night only, festive folk will embrace their inner-German and experience a wunderbar evening to remember at Oktoberfest at the Rose of Tralee.
Organiser Daryl Cronin remarked: “Tralee is all set to put its own special spin on Munich’s world famous festival”.
The dome will be transformed into a mini-Bavaria, complete with amazing beer gardens, a beer hall serving a range of Oktoberfest beers and traditional Bavarian cuisine, including traditional bratwursts, rotisserie chickens, freshly-baked pretzels and gingerbread hearts.
Oktoberfest in the Dome will host authentic Oompah brass bands who will entertain the masses with their toe-tapping, thigh-slapping, oompah entertainment and traditionally-dressed Damen und Herren in Lederhosen will serve the finest Bavarian festive beers and food.
The managing director of the Rose of Tralee festival, Anthony O’Gara, said: “We are always interested in introducing new ideas to our entertainment line-up and we are excited about welcoming the Oktoberfest to Tralee”.
