Town a shining example of what can be achieved

They normally meet around the cabinet table but today they swapped that experience for lunch in the Kingdom – and everything went according to plan.

Taoiseach Simon Harris and Minister for Education, Norma Foley, joined over 220 attendees at the annual Tralee Chamber Alliance President’s Lunch this Friday and the Fine Gael leader emphasised the town’s growing prominence as a vibrant hub for business and community development

He told the gathering at The Rose Hotel that Tralee was a shining example of what can be achieved when government, businesses and communities work hand in hand.

Chamber President, Stephen Stack, called for greater collaboration and optimism about the town’s future, praising the significant strides made by Tralee Chamber in 2024 and he highlighted the essential role of the local community in advancing the vision as a thriving university town and economic hub.

“This has been a remarkable year for Tralee, marked by milestones that showcase the strength of our business network, the resilience of our community and our boundless potential for innovation,” he said.

“Our growth as a Chamber is about more than just numbers – it’s about fostering a united community working towards a shared goal which is making Tralee a great place to live, work, visit and do business”.

Guests included the Taoiseach’s brother, Adam Harris, the CEP of autism action charity AsIAm, who delivered a compelling address on fostering inclusivity in the workplace and society and he emphasised the critical role of leadership and awareness in creating communities that are accessible to all.
