Tom and Tess to share the limelight

The skills of an expert Killarney sheepdog handler will be showcased to a huge audience when he appears on a smash hit television series at the weekend.

Tom O’Sullivan from Kilcummin, in Killarney regularly competes in sheepdog trials and following his success at the 2021 International Supreme Championships in Wales, he and his dog, North Hill Tess, were invited to compete in this year’s BBC sheepdog trial competition, One Man and His Dog.

The competition was recorded on the farm of Ceri and Phil Rundle in Bodfari, North Wales last month with top sheepdog trial handlers competing from Ireland, England, Scotland and Wales.

It will be aired on BBC1’s Countryfile this Sunday, October 23 at 4.45pm.
