#TieDayFriday had Kerry looking smart

The fourth annual #TieDayFriday fundraiser for Kerry Mental Health Association took place on Friday when schoolchildren, students and teachers as well as office, remote, hybrid and outdoor workers of all ages encouraged to simply wear a tie, post a picture on social media and donate to www.KerryMentalHealth.ie/donate.

General Manager of Kerry Mental Health Association, John Drummey, said #TieDayFriday is now an established fundraising event in Kerry with the proceeds assisting with the cost of rolling out free and affordable mental health educational activities and other relevant supports throughout the county.

“Kerry Mental Health Association donates thousands of euros each year to support people in Kerry with mental health challenges, their families and friends, covering a range of projects.

A fundraising business breakfast at the Meadowlands Hotel, Tralee was also held on the day with over 100 people in attendance.

Walks, talks, activities, arts, crafts and many more free indoor, outdoor and online events are being featured during the Kerry Mental Health and Wellbeing Fest which will continue until Saturday next.

The key focus of the #KerryMHWFest is to promote mental health and wellbeing in Kerry through a fun and interactive programme of over 100 events taking place throughout the county.
