THE Rally of the Lakes has crossed the finish line but Killarney is still rallying the troops to ensure the town is looking its best I time for the summer season.
Tidy towns volunteers were out in force bright and early on Saturday morning pruning the overgrowth on the roadside on the approach to the town from Tralee.
And it doesn’t end there as painting work will be carried out at various locations throughout the town on Monday night with volunteers invited to gather at the Franciscan Friary at 6.30pm.
“All equipment will be provided and we would ask as many people as possible to please support our tidy towns team,” said co-ordinator Johnny McGuire.
