A MAN who was hurt when his motorcycle careered into a ditch this afternoon has been airlifted to Kerry General Hospital for treatment.
The victim, understood to be in his late 60s, was taking part in a vintage motorcycle rally that had passed through Killarney earlier in the day.
The accident occurred at Ballaghisheen Pass in Dromid and it is understood that the man suffered a broken leg.
A Shannon Coastguard helicopter was tasked to transfer the casualty to Kerry General where he was treated for his injuries.
