Autism Friendly Killarney has teamed up with Mr Price to run an art competition with a Halloween theme.

All the entries will be displayed in the local Mr Price store and the competition will be judged by DJ Kelleher who works with the company.

There is a €3 entry fee and all funds raised will go to Austim awareness charity As I Am.

This will help to raise awareness and funds for the organisation and to provide evidence-based advice, resources and guidance that the community can trust.

The Autism Friendly Killarney group is also working with As I Am to make the town a more inclusive and accepting place, where people with autism have the same opportunities as all others.

Great prizes are up for grabs for the art competition winners including a Lego Brickx Club voucher, a hamper from Eason, a family ticket to Muckross House and Traditional Farms, tickets to the Killarney Omniplex Cinema, a ukelele from Variety Sounds, a technology gift from Vodafone and vouchers from Adams Jewellers, Gino’s Gelato, Walsh Brothers Shoes, First Step Footwear, Killarney Outlet Centre and the Black Sheep coffee shack.

Entries should be dropped off at Mr Price on the Cork Road and the competition closes next Monday, October 28.
