It was a real family occasion at the autumn graduations in the Munster Technological University on the Cork Campus this Friday when Hilary Cusack was conferred with her Masters degree by her mother, MTU President Maggie Cusack.
Hilary completed the one-year Masters in Digital Marketing Strategy programme at MTU’s Bishopstown Campus with the programme aimed at those working in traditional and digital marketing or those aspiring towards a senior position that requires a solid foundation in multiple aspects of digital marketing.
Hilary particularly enjoyed the opportunity her course provided to put her undergraduate and postgraduate knowledge and skills into practice working throughout the year with a range of organisations including charities, SMEs and large retailers.
“I am looking forward to using the skills that I’ve acquired during my degree as I start my marketing career” she said.
“Today is a lovely, special day to celebrate with my family and friends”.
Commenting on her daughter’s achievement, Maggie Cusack said: “Conferring ceremonies are always very special as we celebrate the hard work and success of our graduates. Today is an exceptionally special day for me as my daughter is conferred.
“It’s not every mum who gets to hand her daughter her degree. I offer my congratulations to everyone graduating from MTU and today I share in the pride and joy of the thousands of parents, guardians, friends, and loved ones of the class of 2024.”
