Raising a cuppa with friends and neighbours has generated a cool €1,000 for a deserving charity.

Spa GAA’s Healthy Clubs Officer, Margaret Doyle, organised the fundraiser to support the Kerry Friends of Motor Neurone and there was an impressive at The Studio in the Spa clubhouse.

Margaret and Spa chairman, Michael Cronin, presented the cheque to the charity’s chairman Christy Lehane and she thanked all those who supported the event, those who baked and donated goods and all those who contributed raffle prizes.

“Days like these make me really proud to be part of the locality I live in,” Margaret said.

“It’s great to be able to help another local organisation that is doing great work providing support to those on the MND journey,” she added.
