
Killarney Swimming Club returned home with an impressive haul of 19 medals from the Future Challenger Gala held in Mallow at the weekend.
The event was for 10-12-years-olds and focused on backstroke, butterfly and individual medley.
Several Killarney Swimmers obtained personal bests and took home over 15 bands for achieving specific times in events.
The mixed 100 free relay team of Evan O’Donoghue, Aoibhinn Heinemann, Aoife Coffey and Lily Larkin won a bronze medal and the mixed 100 medley relay team of Noah Keogh, Maria Avila, Evan O’Donoghue and Aoife Coffey clinched the silver in two very close races.
The gala was a wonderful start to the season for the club.
