Members of a swim academy in Killarney finished the year in some style when they competed for certificates before they wrapped up for a well-earned rest over the Christmas holidays.

Dieter’s Swim Academy at the Aquila Club in the Gleneagle Hotel saw all participants receiving commemorative certificates as well as numerous gifts and treats.

It was a special occasion for Freya Casey and Cathal O’Riordan who were crowned swimmers of the year and were presented with trophies while numerous other awards were also handed out to mark some fantastic effort and progress.

“All the swimmers in the academy have been amazing all year and we really want to thank them for their continuous hard work, effort and commitment they put into their lessons each week,” said Dieter.

Dieter’s Swim Academy aims to teach the core aquatic swim skills to all ages and caters for beginners right up to the very advanced.

“Swimming is one of the fastest growing sports in Ireland and our team of instructors endeavour to promote the health, well-being and fitness benefits that one can get from swimming,” Dieter added.
