THE real spirit of Christmas will be in evidence in Killarney this Sunday afternoon for an incredibly important Tree of Giving promotion that will help to ensure every child gets a chance of happiness this festive season.

The initiative will be based in the beautifully decorated Santa’s Lodge in Killarney National Park at Knockreer and the dedicated team behind the Christmas in Killarney festival will be on hand to ensure it will be a truly magical occasion.

Santa is so busy this year that he has asked the Christmas on Killarney volunteers to help him compile a list of all the boys and girls to ensure he gets all their names and addresses right before he embarks on the big trip from the North Pole.

Admission to Santa’s Lodge will be free of charge from 2.00pm to 6.00pm this Sunday but visitors are asked to bring new, unwrapped toys or books or they can make a donation to help Santa support Killarney’s St Vincent de Paul organisation this Christmas.
“The free entry is confined to this Sunday only but donations will be sought,” said Christmas in Killarney volunteer Andrew Joy.
