A SUPREMELY talented Killarney hairdresser has won the prestigious freelance bridal hair stylist of the year award at the Irish Wedding Awards.
Laura Kearney, who operates Laura Lou Hair Stylist and is based in the Hair Lab in Chapel Lane, Killarney, received her prize at a gala function in the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Dublin Airport and she was absolutely thrilled with her success.
She had been shortlisted for the award after being nominated by brides she had worked with and the final adjudication process also took social media presence and reviews into consideration.
Another Killarney winner on the night was photographer Tara O’Donoghue who was honoured with the creative wedding photographer of the year award.
Close on 500 of the country’s top businesses and wedding specialists gathered in the capital for the fourth annual awards ceremony which recognises those who work hard to create memorable and unique weddings, including wedding planners, caterers, videographers, florists, stationary suppliers, and, of course, hair stylists and photographers.
The glitzy evening was hosted by the bestselling author, Andrea Hayes, who presented the awards and acknowledged those who promote excellence in the industry.
