Stylish Killarney makes a bold fashion statement yet again

KILLARNEY not only hosted the seventh annual Kerry Fashion Week awards but there was also a strong local interest on the victory podium at the gala prizegiving banquet held in the Europe Hotel and Resort at the weekend.

Kathryn O’Neill was chosen as make-up artist of the year while Who’s 4Shoes? on High Street was named the winner of the love for fashion retail competition.

Other award winners on the night included:

  • Accessory designer of the year: Chupi Sweetman Durney
  • Milliner of the year: Laura Kinsela
  • Student designer of the year: Amy Brannigan
  • Fashion stylish of the year: Ann Marie O Connor
  • Hairstylist of the year: Michael Leong
  • Photographer of the year: Emily Quinn
  • Model of the year: Li Ann Small
  • Fashion blog of the year: Style Me Curvy
  • Business person of the year: Fiona Heaney, Fee G and Luke Lovely
  • Kerry fashion designer of the year: Catherine Kelly
  • Irish fashion ambassador: Ann Marie O Connor

The glitzy event was attended by both established and emerging talents from within the Irish fashion world, including designers, fashion journalists, bloggers, creatives, models, stylists, make-up artists and photographers.

The Lancome Paris best dressed lady on the evening was Joann Murphy from Kilgarvan in a magnificent Tina Griffin 1950’s style cream brocade dress with a Joanne Hynes jewelled collar.
