THE first day of summer is almost upon us but keep an eye out for Stormy Stan in Killarney this Saturday.
He will be taking to the streets to help with a collection for the Valentia RNLI with volunteers selling Mayday yellow welly pins and the public will be asked to give as generously as possible between 11am and 3pm.
Valentia RNLI, who provide a vital lifesaving service, has been in operation for about 130 years and the 26-strong crew at the local station operates the largest RNLI lifeboat, a Severn class.
