Motorists travelling between Killarney Cork have been advised to exercise caution and expect delays following a road traffic accident on the outskirts of Ballyvourney village this Friday afternoon.
Emergency services personnel, including the community air ambulance, ambulance crews and gardai, are at the scene of the incident which occurred just on the Killarney side of the village shortly after 2.00pm.
At least one vehicle was involved but it is not yet known if any serious injuries were sustained.
A stop-go traffic system is currently in place so delays should be expected.
