Stephen’s day as his practice steals the show

A PROGRESSIVE Killarney dental practice has plenty to smile about this week after scooping a remarkable four top honours at the 2019 Irish Dentistry Awards.

Cotter Orthodontics, located on Park Road, was nominated in five categories and triumphed in four, much to the delight of orthodontic specialist Dr Stephen Cotter and his staff.

The gala awards ceremony was held in the Round Room of the Mansion House in Dublin where Cotter Orthodontics was named as Best Employer, Best Referral Practice and Best Improved Practice as well as being deemed Practice of the Year in the Leinster and Munster area.

“As you can imagine, we are just thrilled,” said Dr Cotter who was accompanied at the glittering black tie awards ceremony by staff members Bridget McCarthy, Elaine Murphy, Bríd Kennedy, Helena Dennehy, Michelle Gleeson and Teresa O’Shea.

The judging panel for the awards was made up of dental leaders and industry professionals, including chairman Dr Tony Aherne, the founder of the Irish Academy of Aesthetic Dentistry, Dr Stuart Aherne, Dr Grania O’Connell, Dr Peter Moran, Dr Robert Gleeson, Dr Robert Craig and dental journalists and editors Guy Hiscott and Carlotta Eden.
