THE curtain is about to rise on the Marian Players’ annual pantomime in Rathmore with the cast and crew currently adding the finishing touches to their production of Sleeping Beauty.
This is the 30th annual panto and it will get underway in Rathmore Community Centre this coming Saturday, January 28 at 7.30pm with further performances planned for the following Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday with 3.00pm matinee performances on January 29 and February 5.
All proceeds will go to the local services of the Kerry Parents and Friends Association and the panto booking hotline is 064-7758526.
The main roles will be played by Fairy Godmother: Margaret O’Sullivan;King Edwin: Jimmy Kelly; Queen Henrietta: Nora Coakley;Dame Dolly Tubbs: Paweł Swies; Tommy Tubbs: Brian Hickey; Hawksworth: Mike Cronin; Bertie Ponsonby-Smythe: Shane Dillane; The Wicked Fairy: Carmel O’Keeffe; Rosie: Maria Doyle; Colonel Bogey: David Reen; Princess Beauty: Aine O’Sullivan; Prince Andrew: Diarmuid Coakley.
