The St Brigid’s girls with Volleyball Ireland coach Conor FLood

IT’S a sport that is growing rapidly in popularity and students in St Brigid’s Secondary School in Killarney are ensuring that they are ready for the big challenges ahead.

A total of 20 sports-mad students have completed a coaching course in spikeball, learning the various disciplines it involved and they are now ready to pass on their newly acquired skills to their fellow pupils.

The course was delivered by Conor Flood from Volleyball Ireland and the girls must now complete six weeks of coaching with both primary and first year students and organise a tournament at the end of it.
