
KILLARNEY has been greatly saddened by the passing of Mrs Tess Carroll, a well-known local woman who will be remembered as a gentle, friendly lady who lived for her family and always displayed great elegance and glamour.
Formerly Tess O’Regan of Headford, Mrs Carroll and her late husband, Donie, lived at Marian Terrace in Killarney and she was mum to 13 children, grandmother to 37 and great-grandmother to an incredible 60 children.
She is survived by her children Sheila, Donal, Tommy, Marguerite, Denis, Mary, Breda, Kathleen, Con, Tadhg, Patricia, Betty and John, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, sons-in-law Seán, Tony, Donal, Pat, Der, Scott and Martin, daughters-in-law Marie, Eileen, Christine, Rosemary, Margaret and Frances, nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends.
Reposing at O’Shea’s Funeral Home, Killarney this Wednesday from 4.30 m to 6.30pm, the funeral will arrive at St Mary’s Cathedral on Thursday morning at 10.00am for Requiem Mass at 10.30am. Burial will take place afterwards in the New Cemetery, Killarney.
In anticipation of a very large attendance at the funeral, the cemetery committee has announced that access to the graveyard will be from the main Tralee road side only from 11.45am and that arrangement will be in place until after the burial service.
