Not for the first time, East Kerry clubs stole the show at the keenly contested county finals of Scór na bPaistí, held in Dromid, at the weekend.

Talented representatives from the district board area made their mark with Spa pipping Fossa in the quiz, Legion winning the set dancing, Kilcummin triumphing in the instrumental music, Glenflesk finishing runners-up in both the recitation and solo singing and Dr Crokes the runners-up in the figure dancing.
Listry ran Foilmore close in the drama and Cordal were just edged out by Listowel Emmets in the ballad group competition.
Twelve teams competed in the quiz with Spa, Dr Crokes, Fossa and Legion competing against Renard, Finuge, Glenbeigh-Glencar, Cordal, Knocknagoshel, Laune Rangers, St Senans and Milltown Castlemaine.
Spa registered an astonishing score of 39 out of 40 and Fossa came second with another high score of 33.
A total of 161 primary school children competed and as this was the first time for many of them to perform on stage, they did magnificently.
The medals were presented by Kerry minor star and Dromid footballer Donagh O’Sullivan.
