KILLARNEY just couldn’t get enough of Johnny and Baby when Dirty Dancing came to town so it’s coming back as part of an extensive UK and Ireland tour in 2020.

Producer Karl Sydow has confirmed that Dirty Dancing – The Classic Story On Stage will return to the Gleneagle INEC Arena, due to phenomenal demand from September 8-12 next year.

The iconic story of Baby and Johnny, featuring the hit songs Hungry Eyes, Hey! Baby, Do You Love Me? and the iconic Time Of My Life returns following two blockbuster West End runs, three hit UK tours and multiple international productions.

The stageshow originally opened at London’s Aldwych Theatre in 2006 with a record-breaking advance of £15 million, making it the fastest ever selling show in West End theatre history. The production became the longest running show in the history of that theatre and played to over two million people during its triumphant five-year run.

It has since become a worldwide phenomenon, with productions staged in New Zealand, Germany, the Netherlands, Sweden, Australia, South Africa, Hong Kong, Singapore, France, Germany and, of course, Ireland.

Produced by Karl Sydow and Joye Entertainment and written by Eleanor Bergstein who was the scriptwriter of the phenomenally smash hit 1987 film, the production features the much-loved characters and original dialogue from the iconic film, as well as exciting extra scenes

Tickets from €39.70 will be available from www.inec.ie or www.ticketmaster.ie from 9am this Friday and they would make an ideal Christmas gift.
