Two fifth year students from St Brigid’s Presentation Secondary School in Killarney have been recognised for their efforts and presented with certificates for their outstanding fundraising achievements.
Last May Muireann O’Donoghue and Sinéad Byrne joined a group of 50 participants from across Ireland to embark on a 125km walk from Arzúa to Santiago over the course of five days.
The six-day journe, was not only a physical challenge but also a fundraising effort for Cliona’s Foundation which provides financial assistance to families with sick children, easing the burden of medical expenses.
Muireann and Sinéad, through their dedication and hard work, helped raise an impressive total of €3,662.50 for the cause, contributing to the overall success of the trip.
