Michelle Rosney: Great ideas for the business

A stylish 23-bedroom country house hotel, Killeen House was first opened by husband and wife Geraldine and Michael Rosney in 1992 and it has consistently featured close to the top of the Tripadvisor ratings charts.

Michael opted for early retirement last year and his daughter, Michelle, stepped in to add her flair and creativity to the family business.

Geraldine Rosney said she was delighted for all her team that their hard work and passion has been rewarded and she reserved special mention for head chef Paul O’Gorman who has been the creative force in the kitchen for the past 25 years.

“It’s all about the dining experience in Rozzers and it always will be and we are very grateful to our team and our loyal customers who have supported us down through the years,” she added.

Mulcahy’s Bar and Restaurant in Kenmare and the Chart House in Dingle also performed exceptionally well in this year’s awards, both featuring in the top five.
