Glittering silverware was handed out in abundance at Killarney Golf and Fishing Club at the weekend after some premier competitions were fought out on the course and some great battles ensued.

It was one of the busiest competition weekends of the year with Captain John O’Mahony, Lady Captain Kate O’Leary and President Helen Prendergast on kept busy distributing the various prizes at the presentation ceremonies.
Some of the top events that took place were the senior scratch cup, the Pat Courtney Memorial mixed foursomes, the singles matchplay cup, the Liebherr Cup and the ladies’ open and there was also a keenly contested exchange with Dooks Golf Club.
The Pat Courtney Memorial mixed foursomes winners were Julie Kelly and Nicholas Howe while the Scratch Cup win went to Simon Gallivan and Ryan McCarthy.
