Silicon Valley motor industry gurus to hit town

The shape of things to come as seen in the conference brochure

SOME of the biggest names in self-driving cars from Silicon Valley will power into Killarney in May for a one-and-a-half day conference and a two-day VIP weekend for company chiefs, investors and founders.

The transportation industry will change more in the next five years than it has in the past 50 and that will be the focus of the Mobility X conference, in partnership with Electronomus, in the INEC on May 2/3.

It gives motoring enthusiasts a very unique opportunity to meet numerous self-driving car industry operators, from disruptive – and CEOs of leading global corporations to technology investment groups.

Keynote speakers will include Robert Hambrick of AutonomouStuff, Luk Vincent of Lyft, Glen Isbell of Bell Helicopters, Manuela Papadopol of Designated Driver, Danny Sharpio of Nvidia, Carolione Hazelhurst of dockless scooter share company Bird and Ford’s technical director Dragos Maciuca.

The conference theme will be how shared, electric connected vehicles can radically alter cities, make urban locations healthier and improve the lives of millions of people.
