A NEW sales and marketing manager has joined the team at the Lake Hotel in Killarney.
Sheila O’Callaghan has over 15 years of hospitality industry experience and possesses a wealth of knowledge in all areas of the tourism sector. She has a very strong background in online travel agency markets as well as an abundance of hotel experience.
Kerry native Sheila most recently worked as marketing manager at the five-star Muckross Park Hotel where she took care of advertising, marketing and PR for all areas of the business. Prior to that she was business development manager at the five-star Aghadoe Heights Hotel.
Lake Hotel HR Manager, Sarah Mannix, said Sheila will be a wonderful asset to the business and her experience will bring a fresh approach to a business that is already very successful.
The Lake Hotel is a four-star 131-bedroomed operation with a very unique location in Killarney National Park, just on the shore of Lough Lein.
Built in 1820, the property was purchased in the 1900s by the Huggard of Waterville and it remains in the family’s owenership with four Huggard brothers, Tony, Colman, Niall and Joe involved in the business. The family celebrated 100 years in the Irish hospitality industry in 2013.
