Music maestro Liam O’Connor spearheaded an incredible night of top class music and entertainment in the chapel of St Brendan’s College as the Killarney secondary school hosted its annual feast of arts and culture.
The multi-instrumentalist, accompanied by his family band, daughter Saoirse and sons Oisin and Cillian, brought the house down with some magnificent music and, if that wasn’t enough, balladeer Paddy Casey enthralled saints and sinners and everyone in between with his unique sounds and soothing lyrics.

They were joined on the night by the 35-member college trad group and 85-strong Sem choir, tutored and supervised by teachers Niamh O’Connell and Mish O’Donoghue.
It was an incredible showcase of talent and ability with an eclectic mix and some power-packed individual performances from students Gearóid Healy, Sam Dennehy, Gavin Cronin, Mark Bartlett, Jack Costelloe, Fionn Doyle, Jake Casey, Ryan Neeson, Darren Ryan, Ronan Bennett, Maurice Joy, Dara Lynch and Patrick Mullane.
As an added bonus on the night, hurling legend Brian Cody delivered an inspiring and positive motivational talk while RTÉ’s Gaelic games correspondent Marty Morrissey proved, once again, that there’s nothing to beat a Marty party when he interviews St Brendan’s teachers David Clifford and Gavin White and Kerry and spa footballer Dara Moynihan.
