THE Gleneagle Group today announced that it has achieved ISO standards – one of the most rigorous and well-regarded standards in the world – across four areas of operation.

Companies gain certification by implementing policies, procedures and systems that follow and meet the strict standards and the Gleneagle Group has demonstrated best-in-class services in its management systems.

The certification standards received are:

  • ISO 9001 quality management system
  • ISO 14001 environmental management
  • ISO 45001 occupational health and safety
  • ISO 20121 sustainable events.

The procedure to become certified involved extensive preparation, evaluation and documentation of processes across all departments and cnsultant advisor, Donal Flannery, of Flannery Health and Safety, assisted in this process.

Bill Stafford of Management Systems Certification Limited travelled to Killarney to formally present the certificates to Gleneagle Goup CEO Patrick O’Donofhue with Donal Flannery, Flannery Health and Safety and Orla Steinbeck, Group Health and Safety Manager

The Gleneagle Group underwent a series of external audits, carried out by Management Systems Certification Limited, and will continue to be assessed to monitor compliance.

The Gleneagle INEC Arena is the first event venue in Ireland that is certified to ISO 20121 sustainable events standards.

Group CEO, Patrick O’Donoghue, said meeting the specific requirements needed for these standards highlights the group’s commitment to best-in-class standards.

“It signifies that we operate efficiently and effectively and that we provide the highest quality of services to our customers, clients and our employees. I am extremely proud of my team for this achievement and especially thank our Group Health and Safety Manager, Orla Steinbeck, for spearheading this project,” Mr O’Donoghue added.

“We are focused on improving our operations in order to not just meet, but exceed, the needs and expectations of our customers. We will continue to find new ways to enhance our operations and implement better, more efficient, and more personalised ways to serve our customers,” the CEO stated.
