Network Ireland Kerry’s September spotlight is being held in the Rose Hotel, Tralee on Wednesday 13th, from 6.30pm to 8.30pm, and it will feature an engaging line up of Kerry business leaders sharing their insights of scaling businesses from the Kingdom.
The event will open from 6pm for pre-registration and networking opportunities.
The panel will include Ruth McCarthy, Head of Compliance and Risk with Fexco, which provides world-class payments technology by powering global payables and receivables transactions for leading corporate clients in Ireland and the UK.
Ruth is active in the Irish fintech industry supporting innovative financial services start-ups. She is a council member of the Fintech and Payments Association and a member of the industry advisory group advising the Department of Finance on the Ireland for Finance jobs strategy.
Also on the panel will be Emily Brick, founder and director of Athena Analytics who launched her company in 2017 after returning to Ireland from Australia where she worked as a senior data scientist for the Department of Education.

The “Athena Tracker” software uses machine learning to identify a student’s potential and it is currently used in over half of Ireland’s secondary schools and in a growing number of schools in both the UK and South Africa.
Another panel member will be Kathleen Wall-Sheehy of ViClarity which is anchored in Tralee and with a base in Des Moines, Iowa. ViClarity is a global technology company delivering governance, risk and compliance automation solution for 15 years.
Also included will be Helen O’Sullivan of O’Sullivan’s Bakery in Killorglin who is the third generation of her family to spearhead the company.
A team of 23 employees serve Kerry through a fleet of five vans and three distributors and O’Sullivan’s have received many local and national awards.
Justin McCarthy, former CEO and editor of the Irish Farmers Journal will be the event MC on the evening. The event is open to both members and non-members with members admitted free and a €25 fee for non-members. Pre-register to attend this event at networkireland.ie/events.
