The Killarney Memory Tree, located on the grounds of the Holy Cross Mercy National School on New Road, will be lit again this Christmas season to raise much-needed funds for the school.
The official switching on ceremony will take place on Monday, December 2 at 7.00pm and all are welcome with festive carols by candlelight and a prayer service to be led by Fr Vitalis Barasa, a curate in the Killarney Parish.

Mass will be celebrated in St Mary’s Cathedral at 1.15pm on Monday, December 16 for all those who are being commemorated through lights on the tress.
Lights are available to buy online via the school website www.mercyholycross.ie or from the school office at Holy Cross Mercy
“The Memory Tree will be lit nightly during the Christmas season until January 6, the feast of The Epiphany,” said teacher and event organiser Rhonda Healy.
“We thank everyone who has supported this initiative in the past as it is an extremely important fundraiser for the school,” she added.
