The death has occurred in the UK of Tommie Moloney, formerly of Marian Terrace, Killarney, whose family is very well known and popular in the town.
Tommie, whose great work as a paramedic was the subject of a Sky documentary some years ago, was the son of the late Michael and Deborah and he was dad to James, Deborah and David.
He was the much loved grandfather of Abi, Ollie, Mia, Avie, Thomas and Kian.
Tommie, whose years growing up in Killarney will be remembered by a whole generation of people, is further survived by his daughters-in-law Rachel and Sarah, son-in-law Danny and Bennie Nolan, his children’s mother, brothers and sisters, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives and many friends in Coulsdon in the UK and in Killarney.
Former Mayor of Killarney and current Labour Party councillor, Marie Moloney, is Tommie’s sister-in-law and is married to his brother Mike.
The funeral arrangements will be announced later.
