ALL’S well that ends well for Sam, the runaway Jack Russell terrier.
He is back home and is the picture of health following a mystery that lasted three days.
A big search was underway all last week after the much-loved pet disappeared from Killarney Golf and Fishing Club last Tuesday and quickly vanished without trace.
His owner, Jim Crehan from Killarney, led the big dog hunt and the family asked KillarneyToday.com to bring the matter to the attention of the public.

There had been numerous reported but ultimately inaccurate sightings of Sam and each one was investigated thoroughly but there was no trace of the pint-sized, super friendly canine.
What actually happened was that Sam was actually found less than half an hour after he ran off and he was taken into safe keeping.
His collar had become snagged on a wire in the Fossa Way, adjacent to the golf club, and Fossa man Jimmy Dennehy just happened to be out for a stroll in the area at the time.
Jimmy brought the dog home to mind him and search for his owner and, some days later, his son spotted the Facebook appeal and recognised Sam. They notified relieved owner Jim Crehan who has thanked everybody for their help to trace the family pooch.
“It is such a relief to have him back and I am just overjoyed,” he said.
“I’d like to thank Jimmy Dennehy for taking such good care of him, to everybody who helped look for him and to KillarneyToday for highlighting it all,” Jim said.
