THERE has been a happy ending to the 48-hour saga surrounding Ruby the runaway dog.
She has turned up on the doorstep of her home in Killarney where she had been missing since Thursday evening.
Her frantic owner had issued an appeal to the public to keep a lookout for her much-loved canine companion and to make contact if she was spotted.
Ruby, a medium sized black and tan coloured cross breed, had been last seen in the vicinity of Daly’s SuperValu on Cork Road on Thursday evening but she turned up safe and well late last night.
“We think someone have taken her home and let her out the next day because she wasn’t even wet in the slightest, despite the weather,” said her relieved owner, Kasia Czernik who was delighted when Ruby returned to the house.
