DINGLE Gin is the best in the world.
And that’s not the drink talking – it’s official.
The west Kerry produced tipple had been named the world’s best gin and the best London dry gin at the World Gin Awards which is a major cause for celebration for Dingle Distillery founders Liam LaHart, Peter Mosley and Oliver Hughes.

They faced competition from over 400 gin producers from around the globe with a shortlist of 20 drawn up and experts conducted a series of blind tastings before the winner was announced at a gala ceremony in London last night.
When they set up their company the aim was to create a completely unique and innovative gin which also worked within the great tradition of gin distilling.
“We have always been extremely proud of our gin, however it’s always nice to have the belief in your product validated on a world stage,” they said on social media.
The Dingle Distillery was founded in 2012 just as the country was beginning to come out of the recession. From humble beginnings in a tin shed in Dingle, focused research, hard work, dedication and a super product, with an emphasis on quality over quantity, propelled the company to dizzy heights.
In addition to other botanicals, Dingle Gin uses rowan berry from the mountain ash trees, fuchsia, bog myrtle, hawthorn and heather for a taste of the Kerry landscape.
