Pull up a stool in Treyvaud’s Kitchen

Paul Treyvaud: New cookery series starts tonight

THE culinary skills and colourful personality of a Killarney restaurateur will reach a whole new audience this Thursday night as the king of the kitchen, Paul Treyvaud, begins a new cookery slot on Virgin Media Two at 8.00pm.

Treyvaud’s Kitchen will be cooking show with a difference and that secret recipe is what will set it apart.

The show will be beamed into tens of tens of thousands of homes and Paul has signed contracts with the station for the six-programme series which will see him preparing and cooking several delightful dishes.

The 30-minute slots have already been filmed at his home in Kenmare and the series is produced and directed by Enda Grace of Dundara Productions and distributed by Tralee-based Brian Hurley of Big Handsome Media.

“The focus is on proper cooking methods, proper seasoning and proper techniques and one ingredient I always like to use is laughter so it will be a bit of fun,” he added.

“There is absolutely no chance of using any ingredients that people have never even heard of and they won’t have to go running to the shops to try to find something when they don’t even know what it looks like”.

Paul, who owns ans runs a restaurant on Killarney’s High Street, with his chef brother Mark, came to the attention of the Virgin Media producers when he appeared in a number of guest cooking slots on Ireland AM with presenters Mark Cagney and Alan Hughes.
