A thought-provoking Franciscan Capuchin priest, who received great praise for a poem he penned during the Covid-19 pandemic, entitled Lockdown, will be the keynote speaker at an annual November webinar hosted by the Diocese of Kerry on Monday, November 7 (7.30pm).
Brother Richard Hendrick, known for his work on Christian mindfulness, has chosen the title, Welcoming Sister Death: The Franciscan Way of Dying for his talk.
Br Richard has worked to bring the insights of Christian contemplative tradition to greater awareness over the past 20 years.
He was director of youth ministry for the Irish Capuchins for over a decade and he has worked at both secondary and third level as a retreat giver and chaplain.
With the Sanctuary Mindfulness and Spirituality Centre in Dublin, Br Richard has created many of the youth and teacher training projects and he is currently a priest serving in the Church Street parish in Dublin.
